...Undoubtedly, Willie McIntosh would offer valuable information on Booker's recent inability to solidify both the Baum-style Oz book and the corresponding "Rainbow Sphere" posts in his Archive. I knew that because of his recent name change from Willard to Willie, the self taught computer wiz would now be living in Liberty County, Georgia and not Alabama. A quick scan of the Hinesville phone directory found on the Internet provided me with a phone number and street address. As June and I would conveniently be vacationing in nearby Charleston, SC the next week, a meeting was set up for Monday afternoon.

Willie's new home was not as large as the old one, which I visited once while accompanying my parents on a trip to Biloxi, Mississippi. The black jack money was not rolling in any more, his income now solely dependant on a 9 to 5 computer programming job in Hinesville. Signs of income change were evident in other ways as well, but Willie still seemed very happy, bolstered by a great marriage, and his dogs to keep him company when his wife was away on her singing tours. And unlike me, Willie doesn't seem perturbed by the extreme humidity of the coastal region. By the way, since the last time I met her, August had also changed her name, to Carol.

After catching up with each others lives a bit, I brought up the main reason for our meeting: Booker's inability to complete his recent writing projects. "The computer program you set up for him seems to be breaking down," I said to Willie, who sat in an upholstered rocker in-between his two drooling sentinel-like dogs Sid and Vicious (but the dogs' names had changed also--Kent and Clark now, for the blind astronomer in Contact). "‘The Rainbow Sphere' has not been able to manifest complete inside the Archive, or outside of it," I continued. "And my recent attempt at jump starting the project with original animations has stalled. The manifestation point, the one you told me was built into the program, has not be reached, nor does it appear reachable at this point."

Willie's had the answers, just like I thought he would. He indicated "The Rainbow Sphere" is a hole, a void. It is not suppose to be filled, and he advised taking out the disclaimers on the substituted B. T. Stubblefield posts indicating the contrary. "You've jumped over the interface," he further explained. "You're trying to reach gold, the Citrinitas, without first understanding silver. It's the old alchemist problem, you see...overmasculinization." I nodded my head understandingly, picturing Spock in Star Trek I attempting to mind meld with the completely mental Vijer entity. Only afterwards did he come to fully appreciate his human side, the emotional half. "The answer is obvious for Booker," he continued. "Your cousin must turn again to the troubled BIKER for answers. BIKER's mind is not as developed as Booker's obviously, but he's got an extra lot of heart now, which Booker needs. Restructure the GREENUP (yellow down) Club. Look to the emotionally oriented BIKER for answers."

After finishing another round of mint iced tea, I left Willie with his dogs and drove back to Charleston to rejoin my wife, my head abuzz with the thoughts of many new creative possibilities.
