.....the eyes in the cave. I did not see them physically, but only imaginatively. But they were real enough in their own way. Just two eyeballs, glowing like cartoon eyes in the back of the shallow creek cave, perhaps 25-30 feet deep. I imagined being next to them, the eyes staring forward at the mouth of the cave, never sideways at me. I pondered who it could be...certainly not Darwin, or not the Darwin as I know him. Perhaps the spirit of Riddle, manifested here through some type of time/space warp with Riddle Knob, a proffered vortex that allowed the Tory to escape an enclosing Cleveland sandwich. Certainly [Harrisonia], and the associated Harrison Creek, were not named by chance. And then there is the fact that Cleveland, apparently a quite mean spirited man, also hung a man named Harrison after the Riddle incident. But I knew the eyes would not emerge from the cave; they were there only to give me a message, a sign of things to come. I did not need to see them physically to know of their existence. The spirit knew I would be too spooked!
.....Darwin began working on my Pink riddle in earnest after taking his little nephew Martin Allen to see *Brave Little Toaster Goes To Mars* in May of 1998. The trigger was Farrah Fawcett playing a kitchen faucet. Growing up in Wellston, OH his family had taken several trips to the Great Serpent Mound only 70 miles distant. Darwin had a fascination with it, looked it up on the map quite a few times in anticipation of returning. Now through the new Fawcett-faucet input, he realized that the Great Serpent Mound was a rocket, specifically the one that would 1st take man to Mars. Pink (through Neil) equals the New Martian Adam, 1st man on Mars, with Fawcett as the New Eve. They are joined by two lips, as in a kiss...a fulfillment of the Pinkie Tetractys. Darwin had recreated Adam and Eve on Mars by inverting the plot of BLTGTM, making it line up with The Wizard of Oz, and through Oz, Dark Side of the Rainbow. In contrast, an inverted TWoO would have Aunt Em, Uncle Henry, Gulch, and the farmhands going to Oz (Mars), with Dorothy left behind like the kitchen sink. Thus it all began to open up for Darwin after that movie, and the additional oddities involving his childhood Prince Rainelle stories in Wellston, the parallels with my Prince Rupert, and then Darwin's family subsequently moving to Hinton...well, this just opened the vortex further, allowing him to see the Other Side for the first time. Darwin knew well before me the truth about us, the fact that we are like branchings of one trunk.
.....But the eyes are still trapped in the cave, awaiting a type of birth through the door. *This* place is my exterior center, not the scary Riddle Knob. The eyes, I know now, are mine.
