The Original Perfection
The 2-D Matrix Circle, as derived from the 3-D (& beyond) Matrix Cube, gives us a starting Point for unfolding the Circle of Oz within the Circle of Floyd. It represents the foundation, the original Perfection. Its strict mathematical representation is a Point (0-Dimension).
Let’s begin by restating the Matrix Circle as follows:
Here I have added the internal totals for each quadrant (as divided horizontally and vertically), and then for each hemisphere (e., w., n. and s.). Each of the top quadrants add up to 5 (3+2 & 1+4), which combine to form the 10 elements of the Circle of Numbers (N. Hemisphere). Each of the bottom quadrants make 13 (7+6 & 5+8) which combine to form the 26 elements of the Circle of Letters (S. Hemisphere). The resulting E. and W. Hemispheres both total 18. Not shown is the fact that the two sets of alternating numbers in the circle make 18 and also each set of opposite quadrants can be combined to form 18. These can be seen as projections from the magical qualities of the source Matrix Cube.The unfolding of the Circle of Oz into the Circle of Floyd occurs though what we will call 3 corruptions of the Matrix Circle. Each corruption:
a) involves exactly 1 of the 6 implied Matrix Circle hemispheres, or ½ the circle itself.
(Note: 2 of the 6 are hidden in the 3rd dimension)
b) is created by symmetrical shifts of number values within these hemispheres.
c) is attached to a specific stage of development in the history of OzThe 1st Corruption: Creation of Oz
The first corruption takes place in the West Hemisphere (light gray color) of the Matrix Circle. Exactly 1/2 number value is taken from each of the two row numbers of the Southwest Quadrant and moved directly upwards to each of the two row numbers of the Northwest Quadrant. Thus 7 and 6 of the SW quadrant are reduced by 1/2 to 6 1/2 and 5 1/2, and 3 and 2 of the NW Quadrant are increased by the same value to 3 1/2 and 2 1/2. This also decreases the value of the SW Quadrant from 13 to 12, while increasing the NW Quadrant from from 5 to 6. Also the Circle of Numbers (N. Hemisphere) and Circle of Letters (S. Hemisphere) are increased and decreased respectively by a value of 1. The altered Matrix Circle is shown here:
Notice that all numbers in the West Hemisphere are now measurable only in ½ increments. This is the first example of the forementioned doubling of laws in each corruption, that is, we need 16 whole number integers to understand the ratios between any row numbers (in contrast to the 8 needed for the original Matrix Circle).
Symbolically, this shift of number values in the 1st Corruption represents the 1899 creation of Oz by author L. Frank Baum. In an earlier post, I have associated this creation with the Iowa Magic Square of Saturn, specifically the middle synchronicity of Manilla-Red Line (4-(5)-6). Manilla refers to Admiral Dewey’s Battle of Manilla Bay, the remembered headlines of which helped biographer Frank Joslyn Baum pinpoint the exact day his father coined the term Oz (from a filing cabinet labeled O-Z). We can now guess what the Red Line part of this glyph means: as the Original Perfection represents the Point (0-D), the 1st Corruption refers to the next dimensional aspect of the Line (1-Dimensional).
The color red also refers to a beginning, or something of stand-out importance. Before Baum’s Oz, there was no legitimate American fantasyland. All of a sudden, with the publication of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz in 1900, we had one. Its significance can be likened in these terms to the Louisiana Purchase. As the La. Purchase doubled the land area of the United States in 1803, so Oz doubled the psychic landscape of turn-of the-Century U.S. by creating an unconscious mirror image. This mirroring is seen in the name source of Oz itself (filing cabinet O-Z), which represents the last 12 letters of the alphabet (Beta). This is a reflection of the 1st 13 letters of the alphabet (Alpha, or A-M) symbolizing the mundane U.S. The missing 13th letter (N) from the second alphabet half that would complete this symmetry is purposefully shifted in our Matrix Circle from the Circle of Letters to the Circle of Numbers. This ensured that no connection between U.S. and Oz would take place except in special circumstances (such as Dorothy’s freak tornado). It thus marks a purposeful forgetting, an incarnation into a sub-creation of personal design. In terms of the Great Sirian Merge, it represents the split of Alma (A-M) and Noz (N-Z) by devolving Noz to Oz. This implies Noz is actually the original (wizard of) Oz of Baum's same named fantasyland.
The 2nd Corruption: Creation of the Oz Movie
Left alone, the 1st corruption would create an unbridgable chasm (Red Line) between conscious and unconscious realms...like an oversized Mississippi River, or, in Oz terms, a Deadly Desert. Fairyland would remain forever separate from everyday mundane reality and visa versa. Indeed, Baum’s Oz, as it developed through the series, became increasingly isolated from human spheres of influence. Eventually, the only way that Baum himself could receive new Oz stories was by the wireless telegraph, as all physical contact with the fairy continent was cut off from within.
Luckily, a 2nd Corruption followed up the first, allowing a bridge between the two opposing worlds. This manifested as a reinterpretation of the 1st Oz book (which retained the strongest Oz-Earth connection) through the new medium of film. The result: MGM's classic 1939 production of The Wizard of Oz starring Judy Garland and others. This Oz movie contained a critical element that the Oz books didn't have: the possibility of time manipulation through simultaneous motion. In effect, a new dimension was added, allowing the possibility of 2 becoming 1 (synchronicity). The '39 Oz itself was formed as a duad by its 1st Sirian creator, duplicating the original hermaphroditic MaN and rejoining (overt) M and (hidden) N in a new way. However, this creation was, at best, only partially successful due to the fact that a warped version of the 3rd corruption (from the future) affected the outcome. The so-called Triangulosaurus, a sinister entity that ate Jasper and drank Blood, became a menace to all still trapped in space-time. It was the wayward Frankenstein monster of the 2nd Oz.
Let's see how this 2nd corruption further alters our Matrix Circle:
This time the affected hemisphere is the North (middle gray color), and the shifts of number values involve moving exactly 3/4 from this hemisphere's two edge row numbers to its two middle row numbers. Thus, clockwise, 3 1/2 decreases 3/4 to become 2 3/4, 2 1/2 increases 3/4 to become 3 1/4, 1 increases 3/4 to become 1 3/4, and 4 decreases 3/4 to become 3 1/4 (still with me?...it's quite simple really).
The 2nd Corruption is mathematically represented by the 2-Dimensional Plane. As a plant grows from seed (0-D) to sprout (1-D) and breaks the surface of the Earth, a new development is needed as interaction with the exterior world becomes more complex. This results in the creation of (2-D) leaves, and, later, flowers, an overall shift in consciousness as exponentially dramatic as that between seed and sprout. With it, governing laws double from 16 to 32 over the former corruption. All that is left to develop is the fruit (3-D), within which, paradoxically, returns the seed (0-D) to begin the cycle over.
